Morphing 

​

I challenged myself to sum up my greatest life experiences and ball it into one word. Then I laughed at myself, thinking that was not possible...I am way too complex to fit into one word; but if I had to oblige and box myself into one word, then it would be morphing. Every life experience has led me to a beautiful place of becoming, and even the hard places have taught me more grace and positioned me to shift for good.

One professional life lesson that has been a pivotal takeaway on my journey is the power of the collective. I have profound respect for the power of working collaboratively and honor those who have made time to invest in brainstorming, dialoguing, and taking action with me. While a self-proclaimed introvert - (some of my friends say otherwise); a critical thinker - (always in my head) and very process driven, I have come to regard the value that diverse minds bring to the achievement of impactful outcomes. I will always correlate the intentional sway towards diversity, as the key element that delivers long-term, successful endeavors.

Changing the world, building systems and processes, or working the neighborhood block; requires us to pitch a critical eye to who or what is around us. Our most lofty dream is limited until we factor in the people around us and consider those who are not. Our dreams lack luster until we ensure we are connecting, collaborating, assessing, filling gaps, building new tables, and serving ourselves and humanity through a highly developed lens of emotion, care and thought.

If I leave you with nothing more, I hope I have lent you a bit of inspiration to allow 2024 to become your best year to morph and become your best self to change the world, one person at a time.
